Siskiyou County sits in the Northern Region of California, right on the Oregon Border. The region is full of lush forests, rocky slopes, high deserts, caves, green meadows, fresh flowing creeks, mountains, lakes, and so much more! All year long the towns that surround Siskiyou County have events and attractions that are fun for the whole family.
You might enjoy the Big Foot Festival in Happy Camp, or the Blackberry Festival held in Mt. Shasta, or Yreka’s Summer Music Series, or Weed’s Performing Arts Series. Dunsmuir hosts Railroad Days, Montague holds the Hot Air Ballon Festival, Bird Festivals and gatherings occur in the Klammath Basin Region of Buttevalley & Tule Lake, or stop by McCloud when they host the Mushroom Festival. Between all these little towns & big events, there is an array of outdoor recreation and attractions to keep any one busy for the entire year here in Siskiyou County.
The Weed Chamber is excited to announce a gathering of our Siskiyou County Chambers and Organizations to highlight what each town has to offer this upcoming summer.
The event is planned for Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 5-7pm at the Weed Ale House & Bistro located at 360 College Ave., Weed, CA 96094 (www.weedales.com). There will be complimentary hors d’oeuvres provided by the Weed Chamber of Commerce, and of course world famous brews available for purchase in the Weed Ale House Tasting Room.
