Wow!! There were 70 cars, bikes, and trucks, lined up Main St.!! Including the Weed Museum’s old Fire Truck!! There were little race cars, big race cars, a burn out contest down Main St. in front of City Hall, and awards and new top of the line flame trophies given out!! Details to follow on the awards, I’m waiting for the pictures to come in!!
There were 43 vendors up and down Main st. including metal art, pottery, dog beds, alpaca soaps, local honey, T-Shirts, Flea Market, hand blown glass, hand made silver jewelery, and much much more!!
There was probably close to 2,000 people walking through town last Saturday! Live Music was provided from local band Rival ( all the funds for the stage were raised by the Brew-Grass Players down at the Weed brewery every Thursday night 7-9pm, and by the Weed Arts Council) we had a special bellydancing performance from the Lava Lotus dancers located here in Weed, they did a beautiful dance to a more swinging style of music, awesome fusion of modern bellydance!! And their costumes are AMAZING!
I can’t wait for the pictures to come in and you can see how we roll here in Weed, CA!!
