59th Annual Carnevale
“Where Memories Are Made”
This year the celebration will begin on Wednesday, July 10, 2012 with our annual downtown parade at 7pm. Please talk to your organization about entering the parade. The cost is only $5 to enter.
Carnevale will begin Thursday, July 11and will continue through Sunday, July 14 at Bel Air Park off of College Ave. There will be continuous entertainment, including live music, dancing, carnival rides, games, food booths, beer, wine, and vendors.
If you are an organization that wants to inform people without selling any products, please join us; its free! Space is limited and Product Vendors have priority.
Space in the food court is limited, and on a first come, first served basis, with preference given for seniority. The Weed Chamber of Commerce provides the FDA approved food booth, as well as access to electricity and water. Your organization is responsible for maintaining a high quality of food preparation, and creating curb appeal to attract customers.
Rental fees are only $200 (this includes the cost of the food booth that the Chamber provides) there is also a $125 refundable cleaning deposit (separate checks please) payable in advance. If you wish, you may be open for business on Thursday at no extra charge.
APPLICATION DEADLINE IS June 21, 2012 FOR ALL BOOTH/VENDOR TYPES.
As of June 24th we will accept Commercial Food Vendors applications for any open spaces in the food court
People of the Year
The 11th Annual Junior Co-ed Bocce Ball Tournament will start on Thursday. Division I is for children between the ages of 7 to 11 years old and Division II is 12 to 18 years old.
